Notes:
- Multi-year means of power spectra for zonal wind at ~200 hPa
showing eastward propagating modes in the equatorial region. All
GCM simulations appear to have a preference for significant
amplitude around 90days, especially in the N30 but also in the
N45. While the NCEP reanalysis has peaks in the 40-60 day
range and a distinct spectral minimum just greater than 90
days.
